Our Story

How the Foundation began...

The Blanchester Schools Foundation was formed in 2004 by Gordon Rose, a local attorney and graduate of Blanchester High School, Class of 1969. He created the foundation to provide a vehicle that could accept private and corporate donations for a very specific purpose - to ease the financial burdens on the school system.

Where we are today...

The Foundation has steadily grown through the years thanks the generosity of private and corporate donors. We administrate six scholarship funds, which pay over $40,000 annually in college tuition support to Blanchester High School Graduates. Through the Pay-to-Play fund, we have been able to assist many student athletes with their extracurricular activity participation fees. Our Vallee Funds have helped to provide uniforms, instruments, and equipment to the music program, technical theatre equipment for the dramatic arts program, and warm hats, gloves, and coats to our elementary-aged children.
